Jonathan Anderstrom

I am running for Edwardsburg School Board because I want to lend my conservative, collaborative, and strategic experience to our district, while keeping EPS the school of choice in Southwest Michigan.

I am married to Susanna (Martino), a 10+ year teacher in the district, 2006 Edwardsburg graduate, and former Miss Edwardsburg. We have four energetic boys. I currently serve as the Treasurer of the Edwardsburg Public Schools Foundation, Board Chairman for LifePlan, and Co-Chair of the Edwardsburg Bond Steering Committee.

I am a 14-year U.S. Army Combat Veteran. I served one tour of duty in Kosovo (2003), and two tours of duty in Iraq (2004, 2008), leading over 600 combat patrols.

I was certified in Arabic by the Department of Defense, and trained in civil crisis response, helping rebuild countries ravaged by war. I am a recipient of two Bronze Stars. My military values and love for our country have shaped who I am today.
